Number of required Meiosis divisions

Can somebody tell me how can I calculate the number of required meiosis divisions in order to have all types of Gametes in both Humans and Male(2n=23) and Female (2n=24) Locust without considering "Crossing Over".

(the formula of calculating the number of different types of gametes without crossing over is= 2^n and n= number of pairs of homologous chromosomes having at least one heterozygous pair of genes.)
