Can filter TBE for reuse?

Can I reuse TBE filtering with bottle top filter?
How many times do you reuse TBE for your researchs?

For running gels?
No need to waste money filtering. In fact you could have fish swimming in the stuff that would likely not interfere with your gel (but running your gel might make the fish unhappy though). What is important is the buffering ability of the stuff. If your run it at reasonable settings (depends on your setup) TBE can be resused 5 to 10 times (you can see the quality degrading over time), TAE less often (I have often read 5 times max, but since I mostly used TBE anyway...). The main problems you can have are evaporation if you leave it in the cuve.

In general I would reuse without paying attention if I want quick check of my products and make fresh buffer for picture quality gels.
