Using the pipetteModerator: BioTeam

Using the pipetteI just want to confirm the usage of a 50-200 ul autopipette. If I want to obtain a volume of 0.1 ml using such pipette, will the setting used be 050?
Thanks.
For those novices out there, the pipette companies have made things easy by maintaining a system of showing exactly the amount in uL that you would like to pipette. This is opposed to using a percentage of an amount in mL. So in a p2 pipette set to 2 that equals 2 uL and a p1000 set to 375 will deliver 375 uL.
Since your pipette is 50-200ul you should be able to adjust the setting to 100ul volumes. Assuming everything is calibrated you'll get accurate results. Also it helps to use tips that have graduation marks...usually a line on the tip that marks 10ul, 50ul, 100ul...etc.
