Using the pipette

I just want to confirm the usage of a 50-200 ul autopipette. If I want to obtain a volume of 0.1 ml using such pipette, will the setting used be 050?

Setting should be in 100ul.

For those novices out there, the pipette companies have made things easy by maintaining a system of showing exactly the amount in uL that you would like to pipette. This is opposed to using a percentage of an amount in mL. So in a p2 pipette set to 2 that equals 2 uL and a p1000 set to 375 will deliver 375 uL.

Since your pipette is 50-200ul you should be able to adjust the setting to 100ul volumes. Assuming everything is calibrated you'll get accurate results. Also it helps to use tips that have graduation marks...usually a line on the tip that marks 10ul, 50ul, 100ul...etc.
