Plant structural component's degradation..

Postby choozi » Wed Oct 19, 2011 10:56 am

hello all ...

i want to know about the structural components of plants like cellulose, pectin and hemicellulose. In addition, i also want to know about their degrading pattern. During degradation either cellulose will degrade first or pectin? what is the hindering effect of one of these component in degrading others by preventing enzymatic accessibility or some thing else. Plz help me in understanding these basics. or tell me some links from where i can get my answers.

Thanx.... :)

Well, then study ;)

I'm sure there are some libraries in your neighborhood or in your school and there will be some plant physiology books

Cis or trans? That's what matters.

i'm more interested in their degrading order rather than their structural detail. If any one can give me some links regarding this then i'll be really obliged.
