At the 1st time when I meet chem, I also said like cyberpostdoc did..but, now..I've found the truth....I choose both of them...

Just kidding  Seriously, in Indonesia, many students don't like Biology because of the cliche "Biology is memorizing" Blah! It's not true, the teachers themselves who don't know how to teach Biology properly. They memorize things as well, I think. Of coourse it is easier to them because they don't study other things like their students, just Biology oh oh oh :D

I like organic chemistry much more than inorganic one, it is all about CHON and I like the -c-c-c-c- and reaction thingy :) It's 'closer' to Biology, you know biochemistry, so I can understand them much better than inorganic and basic chemistry.

Are you saying that the subject was easy but the professor was difficult?

Hehe nope  I mean, biology is not an easy subject but not a hard one, some teachers should tell students about this and try to make them enjoy to study or at least not get bored on class. Some of them just make it not interesting :( :D

haha lol - but i find maths lecturers the most boring of the lot! (then again, it's probably just that there must be some 'boring' lecturers for each area of study i guess =\)

Thank you very much for the offer...but i can't leave my class because my bio teacher is never bored with my out-of-topic questions  and also he knows how to make the lessons interesting.

I've always liked biology, but never had (in high-school) a teacher hwo knew how to make interesting for the students.
Instead, in college I was lucky to find great teachers :)

Wow... I think, I'm abnormal then..because since I know biology till now (total 6 years) my teachers are boring..But, I dunno why I can get so attracted to biology....
For teaching method 'bio is memorizing', I totally disagree...I don't think that you have to memorize all of them because I use the 'mechanism method' which means if you understand the mechanism, then it would be less to memorize..

Comment:
Then why you got C for biochem subject???
Q: Why are chemists great for solving problems?
A: They have all the solutions.

Can't you read me? I think I wrote it in crystal clear  :
Because I love the -c-c-c-c-, that's why I got C as well

I think you're right. Bio is not memorizing. Especially phisyology, I think, can't be learned unless you understand the mechanisms involved.
And what's bio without phisyology :) ?

Yeah. The core of Biology is structure and function. Both cannot be memorized or our head will be full and explode. People who study Biology with memorizing will be failed soon or later. That's not the idea.
- To memorize ---> easy come, easy go
- To understand ---> needs time but longlasting

About physiology, yes it is full of processes or mechanisms. Try to memorize them will be much harder that try to understand them :)
