Does cancer cells origin from stem cells?Hi everyone
From what I know cancer cells are cells with uncontrolled cell divisions. Also, in our bodies only the stem cells divide. The other cells are differentiated and do not undergo cell division. From that I conclude that cancer cells origin from stem cells, but that the stem cells have uncontrolled cell divisions instead of controlled divisions. This sound more likely than a differentiated cell learning both how to divide and then how to do it uncontrolled. However, I've never heard that "cancer cells = mutated stem cells". Am I right in my conclusion? If not, where am I wrong? Thanks!!
no cancerous cell are not stem cells.. They are formed due to unnecessary growth.. If they were stem cells they could not be called as tumor cells.. Also cancer cells are growing without control so based on this we cannot say their origin is from stem cells.. And i also know nothing about so called "mutated stem cells".. Welcome!!
