i need help with my coursework!!!
im finding out wether temperature effects the heart rate of daphnia.
i would like advice on how to maintain the temperture while looking at the daphnia under a microscope, how would i go about this?

Most definetly! All (or nearl all...I can't think of an exception) microscopic organisms are poilikilotherms. The warmer the enviornment, the faster any rate will be in its body...that is until its proteins begin to denature.

For microscope work, best thing I can think of is to CAREFULLY waterbath the sample, or use progressively warm water from the tap. Maybe your teacher has a heat-lamp you can point at the stage while you observe? Not sure how you can mantain an exact temperature...small bits of water that you put on a slide are nearly impossible to measure.
