PhD What??

Is necessary to have PhD to become a botanist??

Depends what kind of jobs you want. Sometimes a Msc or even Bsc are enough. They will give you job such as lab manager or technician, and with some professional experience maybe teaching in a community colleger. But if you want to direct your own lab or teach in a university, the PhD is what you want
