I am very puzzled about job huntingI am a non-US citizen. I got my master degree in biology from US. Currently a phd in biology. I confess i am not happy with what i am doing everyday at all.
I am thinking about using my master to find a job here in USA. But most of the jobs neither not accepting non citizen, nor they are temporary /seasonal/ short term technician job. I would like to do something more practical. So I even think about having a biostat degree or some health services related degree. I am wondering whether someone who only has a bio degree could find a job like doing data analyses, or more biostat realted job. Is a degree in that field a must? I have pretty strong statistical background, but not a real degree in that major. What type of jobs do you guys find with a BS or MS in biology? Are you happy with your job? I wish I could feel less miserable soon. Thanks for reading
Re: I am very puzzled about job huntingIt seems unless you specialize in something specific, lab work may be an option. You really did not state what your specialty is. Human, marine, equine. If you are looking for something you enjoy look for a position in your specific field of study.
find a job that has something to do with educational or athletic that you liked to do when you were young and that you still like.
