First job interview for a tech position...need adviceMy location: BOSTON
Im going to my very first job interview for a cytoprep technician job . My degree is in biology with a high course load in cell/molecular type classes. Im fearing the inevitable haggling of starting salary since i have NO CLUE how much the average going rate is. Does anyone have a clue as to what the range i should be asking for is?

cmon guys..no one?
Have you tried salary.com? I have seen it mentioned on some career advice websites for just this kind of thing. As not someone from the area, I am sorry not to be able to be of much more help.

Re: First job interview for a tech position...need adviceyeah ive tried all those sorts of sites but find them to be somewhat unreliable especially with starting salaries
Re: First job interview for a tech position...need adviceI have the best advice for you. Basically I found this site that is a job search engine but also has job market stats - this is the best ammunition you can arm yourself with when job hunting. Good Luck
