I have an herbarium project for my bio lab at school and i choose this plant. my mom told me that it is a type of ginseng. i tried searching the net for the scientific name of this plant but i cant find anything. please help.

Looks like a jatropha podagrica, or Buddha Belly plant. It's a caudiciform, which is a plant that has a swollen base to store water and nutrients. Hope this helps!
