There's interfaces to allow paraplegics to control a mouse(the pointer) with their minds and prosthetics that they can control with their nerves.

That's been done, nerve impulses to the finger have been used to move a cursor on a screen- but the technology is still in the early stages.

I heard there was a microchip that used biological components to test for toxic chemichals.

I do know that they have created artificial limbs that can feel. I'm never heard of any that could project holograms thought. I'd love to see that.
