Terminal DifferentiationIs it true that in all cases terminally differentiated cells do not divide?
Hi - I have a feeling (OK, actually dim and uncertain memory!) that they used to think they didn't, now they think they might....
Anyone know more precisely please?? Julie (I got this out of reading up on cancer, where there seems to be conflicting information about whether only the stem cells in a tissue can be malignantly transformed, or whether terminally differentiated tissue cells can also be malignantly transformed, in which case the latter must still be dividing....)
