Interesting question![]() Hi guys. As much as I would have liked to type this out the diagram didn't permit me to do it. This is an examination question I'm getting a bit of trouble trying to figure out. From what i see, there is crossing over occurring at multiple places. What I'm thinking is that the chromatids from top to bottom should be : a b c d E F G H A b c D e F G h a B C d E f g H A B C D e f g h My reasoning behind it is that they say it is reconnecting to the opposing chromatid. But I'm not sure, please help me out. Thanks.
Well, your answer seems correct. But, can this question be this much easy?! So, I tried to find another answer by applying that assumption: Start with a chromotide line and when you face an intersection follow the line which is not a part of neither the original chromatide nor its sister chromatide. In this reasioning the answer is:
1. a b c d e F G h 2. A b c D E F G H 3. a B C d e f g h 4. A B C D E f g H As a possible checking of its accuracy, there are always 2 upper-cases and 2 lower-cases for each letter. So, what do you think?
