chemical energy for cell funtions... help???

chemical bonds are the major form of potential energy in cells. some molecules are used in this byrning process in mitoshondria and cytoplasm that release chemical energy for cell functions.. describe the most important of such molecules... any suggestions or help please?????

I would recommend researching ATP, but I could be wrong.

I would look up the food, i.e. glucose, fatty acids etc.
