Crossword...I have no idea

Hi I need help with this crossword. I've been searching for hours and I still haven't found anything. The clue is:
A molecule of ____ diphosphate is created by a reaction between ATP and glucose.
Its 8 letters long, and I'm pretty sure the 4th letter is G (proteins that create atp molecules=glucose) and the 6th letter is O (product of fermentation process that can be used both as an additive to gasoline and a drink for human consumption=ethanol)

Look up the glycolysis pathway, I guess that is where you will find your answer.
And the G is definitely wrong. Glucose is not a protein.

could it be carrier then instead of glucose? as in carrier proteins? that's the only thing I can find in my textbook. but with that the only thing that would fit is fructose and I don't think that's right.

sure the answer's not adenosine?Well its 9 letter, but in Indonesia, it's spelled adenosin, so it fits with the 8 letter clue, and a reaction product of ATP
I also agree with canalon, glucose is definitely not protein.

ah, I thought you're talking about the G for glucose (proteins that create atp molecules=glucose)
