Chemically induced poly/tetraploidyHavent been on here in AGES!
I'll tell you what I've been up too in the general forum, but for now, I have a question on Tetraploidy. My gran grows heaps of flowers, I'm looking for an experiment to conduct, before i finalise somthing, I have a few asks: I just need to know if there are any chemicals that can induce the mutation, and the process on how to go about it? I really have a limited idea about it, but aparantly some flowering plants can be induced somehow by a substance called colchine? Let me know if i'm making no sence whatsoever, I'm just getting some thoughts out, and its rather late. The love for all living creatures is the most noble attribute of man.

I do not have a protocol to induce mutation, but maybe a search with the right name might prove helpful. The second problem is do you have access to a lab that is allowed to handle that? Usually poisons are not easily found in the supermarket. Patrick
