Can anyone tell me what this Mammal is please?

Not your standard pet and very curious to know what it is.

I have a feeling it could be a ring tailed Mongoose.

Thanks in advance!

I think you missed the meaning of one word in the title ravi2319. THIS refered to the mammal pictured in the attachment. But thanks for showing off you vast knowledge of biology.

Ooh, don't be horrid! I'd hate to have to try and cope with a forum that wasn't in my native language! :) :)

Hey, I am not a native English speaker either. I moved in English speaking Canada when I was 28 (although I studied English at school).
I am not going to ban anyone for making useless posts (hey I might have to ban me!), but I'd rather limit those to the Off-topic forum. Plus I explained the problem and might contribute to an improvement of his English. Anyways, sorry ravi if I have been rude and welcome to the forum, newish poster.

I don't think this is about non/native language...

Neither do I to be honest.
But i will spare you my opinion, as it could be quite offensive, not entirely backed by numbers and is altogether useless. I would rather encourage ravi to come back and improve the quality of his posts. And this is not really the place to discuss this so I will stop here and encourage anyone to forget this interlude and share their thoughts about the original posts.
My sincere apologies for this derail.

Hi, may I know how do you find the website about the suspected animal? I mean if someone has totally no idea on what animal is that, with just a picture as source, how can we find the information on the web?

well, I had some idea, what to look for (of course in Czech, but you can search on BioLib in any language, of course Czech and Latin are the most used).
I think you should be able to see some details to guess, whether is it opposum or wolf ;)

And I have seen some site, where you can find similar pictures, so that could be useful ;)
