gallium spoons - how does the human body metabolize gallium?

Now my question is, how does the human body exactly metabolize gallium? ive read quite extensively on gallium and it's effect on the human body, but there's not much to read. How does the human body respond to gallium metal/ions? what happends if it's swallowed?
