Alignment reportHey everyone, I have a question regarding an alignment report.
Does someone know a program/web-based tool that aligns amino acids and/or nucleotides AND creates a report that tells me something like "amino acid on position 123 F is converted to L" Until now I do it manually...quite time consuming... Thanks for all hints! P.S.: Freeware would be best...but Shareware is OK also...
I just saw Geneious in action (OK the free version is limited but it will do quite a lot of things, including alignment). It does notgenerate a report, but the color coded alignments generated make the detection of mismatches quite fast.

I guess so, just saying that it does not take that long to spot the inconsistent color (or the weird color in the consensus line).
But I do not know anything that would align then generates a report. Patrick
