Biology Presentation and Research paper..Goal: To present information to your classmates regarding something in current events, current research or "info-mercial" that will demonstrate one of the following:
-Good science: Thinking like a scientist -"pseudo science" -Non-science reported like science Research paper; Should be between 3-5 paragraphs and include: an introduction to your topic, how your topic relates to science, Non-science or pseudo science and a closing paragraph summarizing what you have learned. I chose pseudo science. My topic is bottled water. Like what I need to do? I have no idea what to write about. What should I write about for bottled water? I can use Power point. I think it's easier to explain.. because I need to present to the class. Like should I compare them against tap water? or something..
Re: Biology Presentation and Research paper..I've changed my mind! I want to write about Organic food. Is that a topic for pseudoscience?
So I should write about Safety, taste, and chemicals? what you think?.. I am planning doing this on Powerpoint. So I will add pictures , etc. explaining the aspects.
Re: Biology Presentation and Research paper..BUMP. It's due on November 20. I want to start this project.
I want to write about bottled water.. that's my title. I need to write an essay like if i am a pseudoscience . What to write about? Should I write about why bottled water is better than tap water? or why organic food is better than regular? Because I am good at that since I eat organic food. Good,
plenty of idea, websites and discussion of pseudoscience can be found on the badscience.net forum: http://www.badscience.net/forum/ But the ideas have to be yours, so we cannot help much with what you will put in it. Do your research, see what you ca find, and when you have ideas, plans and so on, we will sur be able to discuss and eventually help. Patrick

Re:
Thanks! But can I write about why organic food is better than regular? I am good at that since I eat organic.
Re: Re:
Since I do not know what your prof want I cannot honestly give an opinion on the subject. However if you want to write on that subject from a scientific point of view you might need more than just I know, I eat that every day. You will have to actually look for the science behind what you bring. Patrick
