Do plants not have phyla when classifying?I recently learned how the classification system for organisms. The main ones I was taught are Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, and Species. However, while trying to classify some plants I noticed that phylum was very often not mentioned. I usually get the classifications from wikipedia, but in the place of phylum, there is division, or some other category. But I noticed that with some animals, there was phylum. Is this because plants are not categorized by phyla?
