need some help thinking up of a project

I'm a high school freshman who does bioinformatics as an amateur
I've done science fair experiments in the field, and am especially interested in sequence alignment in diseases.However, I don't have any idea what to do this year. I've already done the ones on sciencebuddies and have tried to find other ideas elsewhere, but I still don't know what to do. Please suggest ideas reasonable for someone like me and a brief description. Thanks.

well, just aligning sequences is not very good project. You could align everything and it will be always the same. Let you try to come up with something new

do a google scholar search on bio informatics to get some ideas on the types of stuff being performed.
