define "trafficking"

I am looking into caveolin detaching from the PM and I am getting confused over the lingo, endocytosis and trafficking. They can't be used interchangelbly, can they?? Please help. Thanks a bunch

Endocytosis is a type of trafficking. Trafficking is just a function of transportating something from one place to another, and endocytosis is a process that does that for molecules going/transporting into the cell.
