the mannitol concentrationIs there anyone could tell the contration of mannitol that equal to 20mM K2SO4 added to the agar plate ?
and the fomula ion stress equal to the mannitol concentration ? thanks for help !
Re: the mannitol concentrationIs there anyone could help me ?
the use of mannitol is just intended to check wether the effect of ions addition is caused by the increased water pressure ?
So, I want to know the phenomen (addition 20mM K2SO4 cause plant grows poor) is because of water pressure enhanced ? But the problem is the concentration that equals to 20mM K2SO4 . 20mM K2SO4 = ? mannitol Thanks !
Look to Vyroubalová et al. 2009; we have used PEG, but in Materials and Methods is reference to article, from which we took the concentration, there may be also mannitol.
However, as I said, mannitol will influence the plant growth by itself, so if you want to see only the effect of osmotic pressure, you should use something inactive. http://www.biolib.cz/en/main/
Cis or trans? That's what matters.
