ploidy of endospermA pollen grain from a tetraploid plant fuses with a diploid plant. Resulting seed will have ....n endosperm?? {ex. 1n, 2n, 3n, 4n, etc.......}
First of all, do not shout to us
Second, you either know the answer, than tell us why is it 3n or you do not know the answer and you should accept our answers, until they are not proven wrong. Do you know, how does endosperm comes into being? http://www.biolib.cz/en/main/
Cis or trans? That's what matters.
i think it may be 4n... here's why
the tetraploid plant's pollen grain would then be diploid, no? so 2n combines with the polar nuclei... 2n+n+n= 4n normally endosperm are triploid, and i thought they always were... but apparently that's not always the case. if you haven't, look here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endosperm
