Only for intelligent virologistssuppose that we isolated the viral genome from two different species of viruses..
The fist genome will be isolated from a bacteriophage. The second genome will be isolated from TMV. Then we inserted both genomes into bacteria , now which genome will be expressed, The one of TMV, or that one of Bacteriophage?? And what will be the result?? Of course, it is just a question, It is not means that I have done this before, but it is just a test for you... and me as well ![]() "Research is what I'm doing when I don't know what I'm doing"

well I think if bacteriophage is specific for TMV
genome so bacteriophage will engulfed TMV But if It's not specific may be TMV will show It's charcter I really hope to do that in lab so I can tell u the accuret result thx 4 good question It's Not EASY to be anything
But It's TOO TOO EASY to Be nothing So Pick ur Choice
Re:
If you can do it in your Lab, that will be great.... I really have not tried to do it before, but let me guess about it : I think that there will be a competition b/t both DNAs, only one of them will be expressed, and only a single type of virus will start producing its self.. According to my knowledge, bacteriophage has much more chances to be express its genome more than chances for TMV, the reason is that TMV in most cases infect the plant cells and express its genome there... Hmmmm, it will be good if you try it practically... The another question raises, that What will be happened if you try it with box-virus where both bacteriophage and box-virus are animal viruses which can infect prokaryotic and eukaryotic?? Look to the picture where the other virus is Box type of viruses.. "Research is what I'm doing when I don't know what I'm doing"

tmv has not been shown to have any effect on anything other than plants, so the chances are more like zero. most likely the ribosome and other protein machinery are not compatible.

As I mentioned... Now, what will be the case when TMV replaced by box-virus?? ![]() "Research is what I'm doing when I don't know what I'm doing"

Why don't you specify a bacteria as well? If this was meant to be a thought experiment, I think you've already made your point. If it's meant to be experimental, I'm not sure how to answer that.

E.coli "Research is what I'm doing when I don't know what I'm doing"

well as I mentioned i'm NOT a prof but I think that there's no VIRUS
called Box virus (exp. computer virus) But if ur ques abt Pox virus I think after competition b/t Pox & bacteriophage genomes in E.coli bacteriophage will be the winner as bacteriophages like T4 bacteriophage with its six legs as example will burst this E.coli piece of cake well this is my Answer so what's ur opinion????????????? I'm waiting on fire It's Not EASY to be anything
But It's TOO TOO EASY to Be nothing So Pick ur Choice

Yes, your answer is right, but next time it will be better to explain your answers.... ![]() "Research is what I'm doing when I don't know what I'm doing"
