That's not much correct answer, as he's asking about plants, he probably means the glyoxylate cycle.

that's similar to the tricarboxylic acid cycle, but instead of decarboxylation steps, another acetyl-CoA is incorporated

Fats can be source of glucose. Even in human. Think about that

Thanks Jack. My attention has been away from plants for too long, I sure wasn't thinking about the glyoxylate shunt.
