Model organisme from each "kingdom"?

There are 6: Bacteria, Protozoa, Chromista, Fungi, Plantae and Animalia.
I was wondering which organism (only 1 for each) would serve as a "model example" of each. Meaning, a good representation of each kingdom. I'm not sure if I'm using the term "kingdom" correctly. Sorry, I translated "règne" from French to English and that's what I got. Please correct me if I'm wrong as English is not my first language and I'm not sure if I'm explaining it correctly.

Basically, one that would encompass almost everything that each "kingdom" is known for.

Our prof used Helicobacter Pylori for Bacteria, I can't use that one. Would Bacillus anthracis be a suitable second?

Thoughts for each:
Bacteria: Bacillus anthracis
Protozoa: Leishmania donovani
Chromista (There are three different groups, so one that represents all of them well) : Macrocystis integrifolia
Fungi: Omphalotus nidiformis
Plantae: I can't decide what type of plant I should use. From trees to mosses, I'm not sure which would be most suitable to represent the kingdom.
Animalia: Would the ape be a good choice?

not sure, what you actually mean. Like you want to choose some by yourself? Or are you asking, which are really used in laboratories?
If the second, than E.coli is the first choice for prokaryota, probably Arabidopsis thaliana for plants and with animals it's little difficult, you can pick any from Drosophila melanogaster, mouse, rat or human (but I would pick Drosophila).

- choose one "model organism for each kingdom".
- Three reasons that explain why it's a good representative of its kingdom

So this has nothing (from what I understand) to do with laboratories. I just need to know what organism would be a good representative or each kingdom. Reasons could be morphological, reproductive methods and habitat.

than you can't choose only one.
E.g. in prokaryotes you have gram-negative, gram-positive and others. Which one will you choose?
In plants you can have mosses, angiosperms, gymnosperms... herbs vs. trees...
In animals that's even more complicated as you have so many so diversive groups...

I agree, and that's what I'm having trouble with.

But I suppose we're looking for the best representative. There are definitely "odd ones out" with exceptions, which makes it that much harder.

An example would be the H.pylori. It's known as a good representative of the Bacteria Kingdom even though it uses flagellates to displace and anchor into the human stomach. Whereas not all organisms of the bacteria kingdom are composed of flagellate, although the structure is common.

You could try picking the oldest non-extinct member of the group eg tuatara or something like that.
