Extended sleeping problemHi,
My family member just traveled from Asia to US. Since landing here 10 days ago, she has not been able to stay awake past 8 pm and gets up at 5 to 6 am. Sometimes she starts feeling asleep around 6 pm. This has been a very unusual jet lag. We have travelled many many times, but this has never happened before. She is in early 40's. The weather in US is also not co-operating. It's been extremely cold since she has landed. Any clues on what we could do? We will be seeing the doctor next week, but just wanted to check if there are any Over the counter things or other thing that she could do to get back into normal sleep cycle? Her normal bed time is around 10 to 11 pm. Thanks for your advice in advance.
Tell her to go without food for 16 hours and eat breakfast in the morning.

try to adapt...ur mom should sleep at around 9 o'clock then after she has adapted to the sleep cycle, maybe she can extend to 10o'clock., back to normal. she will be fine...
where did you come from?
it can be perfectly normal. only thing is her sleep cycle hasn't adjusted yet. and the cold doesn't help. everyday make her sleep 15 minutes later. that will help. and tell her to eat less it isn't what you do that matters but it is how you do it
