Explain how sounds are heard. In your explanation, describe the structure through which the sound waves and nerve impulses travel, beginning with the outer ear, procedding to the cerebrum. State the function of each structure.

I don't know much but according to whatever i know, the sound waves enter the outer ear and hit the ear drum.. the ear drum vibrates the the vibrations travel through the inner ear... they hit the inner ear bones(i forgot the names of the bones) and then hit the cochlea... the liquid in the cochlea vibrates and excites the nerve endings.. then a nerve impulse is generated and travels to the brain area related to sound(forgot the name of that region too)...
