Coloured Filters on Colorimeter.Hey,
Does anyone know why you insert a blue filter in the colorimeter when using Nessler's reagent (Ammonia), but a red filter when using Benedict's (Uric acid) reagent? Thanks you.
@aaaaaaaaa17
first think what does colorimeter do? what does it measure? what color are the 2 solution. and keep in mind if a substance is blue it absorbs all other light wavelengths except that of blue. the other two basic colors, red and green are also absorbed it isn't what you do that matters but it is how you do it
