An introduction!

Name: Em
Gender: XX
Age: 18
Education: Currently doing A levels, applied for Biological Sciences for Sept '10
Interests: Listening to people talk about their favourite subjects and views, reading, writing, watching films. The same old boring stuff.
Dislikes: Intolerant people I guess, and those who think their view is reservedly without a doubt right and won't allow for a balanced discussion.

Hi all. My name is Andy, 38 years old - I live in Seattle.

I'm a "closet" biology lover. By that i mean, i never realized i had an interest in biology until i started studying it recently - it's quite fascinating.

I'm planning to enroll in school to become a Licensed Massage Therapist, as such - I'll be learning quite a bit about biology. In preparation for this, i'm self-studying on basic biology. In the *very* short time i've been studying, i find it quite interesting. I have ADD so I tend to have a bit of a challenge in learning so many small, detailed pieces of information - i can learn but it can take me a bit longer depending on the specific material.

I find the best way for me to learn is to explore as many different sources of information as possible - to be exposed to different explanations of the same concept. As such, I signed up on this board to help utilize another resource for learning.

Hope to meet everyone on the boards!!!
~Andy
