a couple of review questionsSo our teacher gave us this study guide for our upcoming test, and I've found the answer to almost all of them. If someone could please answer these for me, or something, that would be greatly appreciated..I couldn't find answers to these
- What are the cellular targets for antibiotics? - What is the major limitation of using non-ionizing ultraviolet light? - Examples of microbes targeted by pasteurization? - Why must large amounts (not small amounts) of exo-enzyme be secreted outside of the cell for digestion purposes? - 2 mechanisms by which ATP is synthesized during cellular respiration? - Why electrons carried by FAD yield one fewer ATP than those electrons carried by NAD? - What "force" drives passive transport? I guess that's it. More than i thought, but any help would be HUGE. Considering this test is on Monday, I gotta buckle down with this. Thanks
really? Just follow these links:
http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=antibiotics+mode+of+action - the intensity decreases with square of distance http://microbiologyon-line.blogspot.com ... ation.html - because it is diluted in the enviroment? - substrate-based phosphorylation (look at glycolysis) and ATPase http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=electron+transport (basically should be enough to look at the pictures, but it is mentioned EVERYWHERE, why FAD produces one ATP less than NAD+) http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=passive+transport http://www.biolib.cz/en/main/
