DNA Replication help

Can someone help me with this question? How do you synthesize both new strands of DNA, when the polymerase can only add onto the 3' end of the new strand being synthesized?

And the second one is done in bits, as more opens it jumps up and works back to the end of the last one - the bits are Okazaki fragments.
