Cellular Respiration questions

Postby EdBoy23 » Fri Oct 30, 2009 10:42 pm

Hi guys,
I was wondering if you guys would help me answer a few questions for my upcoming test

1.Discuss what types of organic molecules can be metabolized in cellular respiration?
would it be something like glucose.
2.Account for the two ATP molecules that are produced from a single sugar molecule during anaerobic respiration (fermentation).
3.Discuss the relationship between photosynthesis and cellular respiration.
4.Discuss the similarities and differences between the electron transport chain and fermentation in terms of final electron acceptors, the regeneration of NAD+, energy field, and the fate of the products.
5. Discuss the differences between aerobic and anaerobic respiration in terms of ATP production, the potential energy of products, and the way(s) ATP is generated.
6. Differentiate between strict(obligate) aerobes, facultative anaerobes, and strict(obligate) anaerobes.

Thanks
