why earthworm dies when salt is sparkled on it??

Is it because salt is attracted to water and thus earthworm gets deficient of it ..no respiration results in death..

Osmosis is the technical term, and the water is moving, not the salt..

The earthworm is dehydrated by osmosis - the water is 'sucked' out of the worm to dilute the salt
