DNA self-complementarity software

Postby extari » Tue Jul 14, 2009 4:53 pm

Hello,
Ok...I am having trouble finding a DNA analysis software out there that can check a 750bp dna sequence self-complementarity. If anyone knows of a program readily available on the Internet, please let me know.

Can u help me?

Thanks

By self-complementarity, do you just mean the sequence and its reverse complement are the same?

If so, there are plenty of reverse complementary sequence out there, and then you just need to compare the two strings to see if they're the same...

No, I mean that I suspect that my sequence may have a region of señf-complementarity. I mean, my sequence may form a loop.
Thank you for answering this post, and thanks all people who have readen my post. I have to say that I have found the software which tests self-complementarity: DNAmfold.
