Biology TeacherHey, this is my first post. Im not really sure if there is anyone who can help me with this or not
In highschool, i had always really liked science, and i had always thought about becoming a teacher. I am now 20 years old and haven't decided what i really want to do. I did poorly in highschool because of lack of effort but i know that i can do very well if i try hard in college. In order to go to university for biology, id need to go to a lesser college and get my grades up. By the end of this ill be 22 years old and heading to university. My question is mainly, Do any of you think i am too old to pursue this career? are there any biology teachers on this forum that could maybe give me some pointers for the future? thanks so much
Re: Biology TeacherYour not even close to being too old. In fact many schools prefer hiring older teachers as they are more mature. Not that being young implies one is not mature.
Too late?!?! Haha, i know people that started to get their teaching degree when they were 30. You'll be fine. Good luck!
Re: Biology TeacherAll of them were right, din7. You aren't too old to pursue your chosen career. Age as I see is not a big case as always. Surely, with your determination and perseverance, you will someday see yourself the way you wanted it to be. (Believe in yourself!) I am seeing how passionately you really do like to be a biology teacher. I hope you good luck.
