I don't think we'll ever know for certain how life originated on Earth, so discussing theories and possibilities is probably all we can ever do.
Morgyn, you keep mentioning your lack of a scientific background. If you don't mind my asking, exactly how far along are you in your education? Generally speaking, the more people talk about "being saved," the further away they actually are from true salvation.

Re: Origin of LifeI'm in my second year of college which is Australian year twelve, and possibly the senior year of high school in America (if American high school movies have taught me anything), so I've done about a year and a half of biology, no chemistry though. I know I might mention it annoyingly often but every time I say something that is just a guess, I figure it's fair to make sure people know that I'm not a credible source so that they don't start believing things that aren't true, also saves me from getting flamed by people that actually know stuff.
If it's really annoying I'll stop mentioning it unless asked As for the origin of life, I have to agree that it's not the kind of thing that'll ever be completely clear but that just makes it more fun to guess
I don't have that much formal schooling either, just a year at university, but I'm about to be going back to finish a biology degree and then work on a doctorate. Of course that still doesn't mean I know what I'm talking about any better or worse than you do.

What about the Divine Creation Theory? Recently, a friend of mine talked about it. In the case of Cain when he left after killing his own brother, he married a woman definitely. Some people asked, "if we came from apes, how come that Adam and Eve weren't that hairy ? Now, would it be right to say that we did came from Adam and Eve or the other way around? Still human, however not being directly from them?
