Spore countingWhat is the procedure for visualising spores to perform a total count on them? Taking into account that spores are difficult to stain.
For fungus I know they stain with calcofluor white and then count with epifluorescence microscope.
Looking at he litterature other methods: are: -Heat shock to reactivate the spore and plating and suitable medium -Haemocytometer, but I guess that must be for eukariotyc parasites Patrick
