Salamander SlimeHi guys,
Would you please give me some biochemistry and adaptive significance of salamander slime? Thank you very mcuh From-
Dr. Cho
The salamander slime makes them taste very very very bad to predators so they won't get eaten. I believe that the slime also keeps them moist to prevent them from shriveling up and dying while they are away from a water source.

Also I think it makes it harder for the predators to hold the salamander because the slime is slippery.
