Insect musclesHello. Im an A level student and I need some help. I'm reading about insect muscles. Direct muscles are used for large wings, while indirect muscles are used for small wings. It then goes into synchronous and asynchronous muscle. Asynchronous muscle does not require input from the nervous system, and can produce up to 200 beats per second (ex: the fly). Now, I have this question: Direct and indirect muscles can be either asynchronous or synchronous, or are all asynchronous muscles indirect muscles?
Thanks Mark
