Best US universities/ colleges for biology courses?

If you are a top student then the chances are high that you get into a good university with funding. Mostly top private universities and rich liberal arts colleges have funding for international students and there are quite a few that meed full demonstrated need of admitted students. Don't just think of repute; small liberal arts colleges are very good and produce a lot of graduates that go on to top grad programs. But, one thing you have to understand by the liberal arts US education system is that you will have to study other subjects besides your major and major-related subjects.

Definitely international students have fewer opportunities than US students but still there are places. Good LUCK!

Rosaliin it's very difficult to get into a top US University as an overseas student. I think it's easier to get into a top English university ( such as Cambridge and Oxford). Does it have to be USA ?

no, it doesn't really HAVE to be USA in particular but v had "plan ur career b4 its 2 late" sessions at school & v were told that USA is a top destinaton when it comes to scientific reasearch & though scholarships fr international students r rare but its better to take undergraduate study in the same country where u wish to persue 'further' studies . so i was just trying to look around for options.

well USA is definitely an option, but not necessarily your best option. As it has been said, it's quite tough to get into the top US universities. You would probably have better luck trying for a US university that isn't among the best (but still good), or pursue English universities.

i did some research. Tuition+food+accomodations+general expenses average around 10.000 pounds per year... Not exactly cheap
