for what? do you sickle cell anemia? It is a genetic disorder so gene therapy is the only possible solution

You know what is interesting about sickle cell, is that people who have it arent vulnerable to malaria, which i think has found itself some kind of balance in this weird world.

ive heard some of them people of europe during the bubonic plague...acquired resistance against AIDS/HIV indirectly(im thinking maybe the HIV does not recognize the glyproteins on the white blood cell)
