Bitter Truth! Who says reason for world war IV will be Petrol? Reason lies in two words "Me and Mine".
Yeah but so where did the ancestor species come from then, according for you ? Has it got a beginning or was it just there ?
When did the egg "adapt" so as to need to be incubated???
"How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these".
~ George washington Carver
I think chicken first as if you look at it scientifically :
you ll know that a parent first if you read in any sacred book you ll know that too.. why ? because fist of all the begining of the whole creature was a-couple of every species then reproduct then the mutation occur , different apperence , then hybridization ......etc and so on so chicken first
every thing on this earth has evolved as result of organic evolution. hence its quite clear that first chicken must have evolved from some organism in the evolotional hierarchy of birds.
so many theories, not bad though. But pretty much depends on which genes came first, or got incorporated into the chicken genome first. The genes responsible for making an egg shell or some other genes. The tree of life project is pretty useful to answer these questions.
egg!!!!!
eggs rule and will take over the earth!!!! The love for all living creatures is the most noble attribute of man.
Charles Darwin
One thing I want to clearify that "chickens egg" came second that means "chicken" came first.
But the egg from which first hen came was layed by it's ancestor so the "egg" came first. Bit confusing..... Senior Education Officer, BNHS, India. www.bnhs.org

just so you know all- yall, the Wikipedia is not a reliable source of info. i think that the chicken came 1st because with-out the bird there aint no egg. good luck with the answer, keep searching.
