Biology..

Postby ScottishKevin » Wed May 18, 2005 7:38 pm

I chose Biology. I think Biology is one of the most interesting subjects around. Chemistry, on the other hand, is interesting in other ways but it just doesn't do it for me. I find Biology "easier to digest" and I understand the true meanings and concepts of things, wheras when I studied Chemistry I struggled in the way of knowing what Chemistry actually was- could it have just been a theory?

Just to let you know, I'm a new member here (I'm only 15 Years old) and I've just finished studying Standard Grade (Equivalent of GCSE) Chemistry and found it quite challenging. I done my Biology Exam today and think I done very well and I know this is the path I want to take in my career.

ScottishKevin, after getting into molecular genetics and cellular biology(i mean really get into not "mitocondria is the powerhouse of the cell" kind of stuf) i think that you might change your opinion about chemistry. Or you might not. All we can do is wait and see

I hope so. When revising for the Chemistry exam, I could tell that I would love it if I understood the true concept of it. It's about interesting things which I do find interesting, yet I think I just didn't pay proper attention the way I should've the two years I'd been taught it. But what's done is done now. I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds for me in terms of University and career, and to see what kind of interesting things I come across.

I don't know where did you get me saying that I dislike biology...
What I said was I would prefer chemistry more than biology.
Well, and even though the vocabs are hard, it still doesn't change my love towards biology.....
Hope you get it now :D
And sorry if you misunderstood me~
