back flow of bloodCan someone please help me with one of my GCSE questions? -
Explain why we would want to prevent the back flow of blood. Thank you ever ever so much! xxx

Yes that is correct. Inside your bloodstream there are tiny strands of cRNA that 'patrol" the inner vesicles of your endoplasmic membrane, they are made of up of a poly peptide chain of enzymes called erythromycin, their primary function is to find, and reduce larger polymers that are driving backwards. They also help in the defusement of smaller organelle that are used by the liver to create electron transport chains for the kreps cycle, and for photo system II. any questions? ...wait...is sarcasm allowed? Well all the comments are very true, but if you want to see why we dont want backflow we think about why we have it going one way. Vertebrates such as the mammals have a 4 chambered heart which efficiently keeps the oxegenated blood separate from the oxygenated blood. Now other vertebrates such as amphibians do not have this 4 chambers and have 3 chambers, there is some mixing of the blood. One more step behind looking at the more simpler circulatory systems such as fish, they have but 2 chambers. Although they have small "caudal" hearts to help the retun of blood to the hearts to be yet again oxygenated via the gills. How efficient would it be if some of the blood your body had already oxygenated goes back through the system to be oxygnated again. Its a waste of energy. It could be going to provide your cells with its gasous and metabolic requirements, but it is not making it there. Also its taking up the volume of blood that could well be the space for the blood in need of oxygenation. Especially for complex organisms like us who need to constatnly maintain our metabolism, we are larger organisms, and we are endodermic. Our circulatory systems efficiency to our (incl. large mammals) survival. I hope that wasnt confusing and it made sense =) Happpy Sciencing!!
