I have been bitten the last few nights. The areas are shoulder, underarm and thigh. Bigger than a usual mosquito bite. And much more painful. I just found a bright green mosquito in my room. Now I know the culprit. I never saw or heard of one before. What do I do about keeping them away?
I also found a green mosquito today. I can't tell u about it scientificaly, coz I'm not a student of science. But as i found it. I searched about on net n i found this discusion. So, I thought, I also put this information here.
Thank you all for keeping this post alive for all these years.
It's a Male Mosquito for sure. Not Identified yet. It wont bite, lives on plant sap.

Who says reason for world war IV will be Petrol?
Reason lies in two words "Me and Mine".
Hey everyone, just got bitten by a bug that at least looked like a green mosquito to me, and it had absolutely the same buzzing sound, which I'd always recognize! Since it bit me, and I have a little lump that itches like usual at the spot, it must be a female.. At least I think!
I heard it twice, first time somewhere behind me, then waited and listened.. Second time I heard it, it was already landing on my arm so I smacked it down immediately, then went searching for green mosquitos on google out of curiosity.. I took some pictures of what I could recover from the body - here's one of them.
Also: the mosquito season just started here so this is the first or second mosquito I saw this year(this being the first green one I saw in my life), there aren't any other buzzing around yet..
