Genetics-culture fruit flies

I want to culture fruit flies ,but I do not know how I can get the flies.
What shoud i do?I ever tried to use bananas to catch them ,but i failed !

I have grown a culture of fruit flies before... Use a banana - Place it on a window sill - It may take longer than a month to attract them. If you want any ideas for experiments with the flies just ask... Also post your progress with them here... I would be interested in your results
